Question Propionic acid from propionate salt? Aby ideas?

Hello, so I want to make some propionyl chloride and react it with toluene therefore I"m looking for a way to obtain a propionic acid. It is somewhat hard or expensive where I live but salts of it are like almost free.

I can get sodium propionate and calcium propionate. Which one is best for this purpose? And how would you process it?

I would be grateful for a hint because next step of making propionyl chloride I found on the forum here and I think I can do next step on my own.

Yes you can convert it.
First you need to convert sodium propionate to propionic acid by hydrolysis ( reaction with acid let's say HCl to form NaCl and propionic acid)
Second you need to convert propionic acid to propionyl chloride by chlorination (reaction with chlorine ion let's say POCl3 to form propionyl chloride)
Than distill the forming propionyl chloride.

I cant get POCl3.
Its easy to get priopionic acid in poland. but cant get POCI3.
Looking that to get prioponyl chloride for synthesis with toulene.

This is not a hydrolysis reaction as was mentioned earlier but the procedure is correct. Any salt of propionic acid will work as long as the acid that is used is more reactive/stronger.
