The meth made in Thailand/Asia has a distinctive taste/smell, some describes it as "vinegar" taste/smell.

I was told it was when you pH the meth oil with a certain acid, it gives you this distinctive "vinegar" Taste.

Would anyone know what is the chemical used to produce this taste??

What form is it? Powder? I don't know if it is possible to crystallize meth tartrate into the solid ice, i've never even tried. But if it is a powder it can be tartrate salt with some bitartrate.
Otherwise meth hcl is meth hcl. It can not have vinegar taste. Only a heap of impurities may have it.

It could be washed with ethylacetate indeed. As I remember, it can also be used for hydrochlorides washing.

I will try acetic acid, because vinegar has water in it and like ~10% acetic acid.
i tried spraying cleaning vinegar whilst i was drying the shard, it neutralised the acetone smell, however did make my shard slightly dissolve, because of water :(
