simply add an acid drop-wise and constantly check PH level, Add the acid until the desired PH level is achieved.

Not answering the question..
If you accidentally go too low in pH, just leave it like that or use a pinch of sodium bicarbonate (but it might harm product just as well)

Yes would work like that but if for example you are making 4MMC add some of its freebase. It doesn't have to be neutral tho if it's slightly acidic then it should be fine (5-6 should be fine for cathinones )

I think I use to expect immediate precipitation, like hcl gassing. But, try letting it stir for 10 minutes or longer after acidification. Another good thing about the Hcl/acetone mixture is that it’s not as easy to over acidify.

And don't forget to freeze it afterwards to become thicker.

And strange it might sound, over acidifying sometimes ends up very well.
A week ago, the valve of the dropping funnel was loose, ph 1.5, yet a highest yield and beautiful white product.

People tend to over acidify and over basify everything. Seems people go 12 then 2, or 12 then 5. Some molecules are easier to break than others. A suitable pH can be calculated from the pKa and pKb. Usually you are shooting for 2 whole #'s higher/lower than the Pk as I recall
