Question How to make salt withouth HCl generator,.

Hello guys,

I have all the things needed for NaBHr4 reduction of p2p.I just wanted to ask this question.At the end of synthesis you are left with dcm+freebase, can i just get rid off dcm by evaporating it (distilling it off) and then mix freebase with acetone and add hydrochloric acid?until ph 7 and evaporate to make hcl salt?I have only hcl with water (hydrochloric acid) and i so not have sulfuric acid at the moment for hcl gas generator.Can i just do it as i described?

I am making meth not amph.I know i need HCl but i do not want to make gas because i want to titrate it out with 31 percenct hydrochloric acid.

I think there is too much water in HCl 31% you will lose product.

Yes you can use aqueous hcl and isopropanol instead of acetone. Just add acid by small portions, mix well, wait, then check pH. It takes time. If your solutions turned pink that means you have added to much hcl.

1. Mix your freebase with isopropanol and add HCL (aq)

2. Evaporate until syrup. Cool down to crystalize.

3. Wash/Recrystalize. Best solvent for this step is hot/boiling ethylacetate

yes you can use any alcohol. ethanol, methanol or isopropanol. make sure you evaporate everything that boils <100 degrees including water. then cool down and it will solidify.

U use dry ice and dont need wait all night
U throw freebase the same acetone 1:1 mix was and throw acid HCl or u can mix with acetone throw to dry ice about 20min and throw to freebase and mix fast this all about color dont worry u can wash with acetone and crystal will be white

Somebody who knows what he talking about.
Throwing dry ice in the solution lowers the solution itself. But dry ice is so cold and pH is different at low temp, like -80 if you add enough so it will be most likely indeed white

It's same principle as blowing HCl in your non polar but exactly opposite principle
